Workshops : Maroon Bells : Fall Color
Up one level

Dates: Sep 15-16
Times: 1/2 hour before sunrise to sunset each day
Cost: $350 per person (including 2 nights lodging)
Maximum: 8 participants

The Maroon Bells are perhaps the most photograpghed location in Colorado and there is no better time to be there than for the fall colors! Located a short distance from Aspen, the entire area just explodes in brilliant shades of yellow, gold and green. While we could easily spend the entire two days photographing the area's amazing quaking aspen trees, "the Bells" are also home to abundant wildlife: including yellow-bellied marmots and mule deer.

As with all workshops I lead, the activities will be tailored to the experience level and interests of all participants: from beginners to lifelong photographers, using digital or film cameras.

On Friday evening, we will gather at the motel in Aspen to discuss the days ahead. Each morning, we will gather at sunrise and travel to the location for our mourning shoot, which will last until approximately 10am. We will then break for lunch and review the morning's experiences and the photographs we have all taken. After lunch we will travel to the location for our afternoon shoot, which will last until sunset.

Transportation to and from Aspen and all meals are the responsibility of participants; double-occupancy lodging for 2 nights is included (single supplement $100).

There will be a certain amount of walking and moderate hiking, so participants are advised to wear comfortable clothing, including appropriate footwear. Since this is Colorado, where the weather can be unpredictable and change on a moment's notice, be prepared for temperature extremes.

50% deposit due at time of registration, the remainder is due 45 days prior to the workshop.
