Workshops : Processing & Managing Digital Photographs
Up one level

Dates: Aug 11-12
Times: 9a-4p
Cost: $150 per person

This 2-day workshop will introduce students to digital photography: from basic operation of a digital camera (camera-phone, point -and-shoot or digital SLR), file formats. "digital darkroom" techniques to optimize photographs (color correction, cropping, noise reduction, etc.), printing to managing the storage of digital photographs (searching, metadata, etc). Students will need a camera (and manual), a laptop and editing software such as Photoshop Elements or Lightroom. Demo versions of editing software will be available.

Transportation to and from the location and lodging are the responsibility of each participant; I will be happy to suggest locations for lodging at reasonable rates.

Participants should bring a digital/film camera (dSLR with interchangable lenses preferred) & it's instruction manual, enough batteries and memory cards for a weekend of shooting, sturdy tripod (if possible) and laptop (with Photoshop, or other image editing software, installed).

Registration for this workshop is handled through the La Veta School of the Arts. Clicking on the Register button below will open a new window/tab for the location's website where you can register.
